School Uniform
The wearing of school uniform is compulsory at Croydon Hills Primary School, in accordance with DET regulations. The wearing of school uniform promotes a sense of community spirit and pride in the school.
Croydon Hills' uniform consists of navy shorts/skorts, pants or track pants, polo shirts with a logo, navy windcheater/bomber jacket/polar fleece with logos and approved hats.
Year 6 children have a special Hoodie and navy polo top, which only they may wear; we do not allow younger siblings to wear these Y6 clothes from previous years. Senior students can wear their sports tops on PE/sport days.
Please note, students should wear plain black, white or navy socks.
The only acceptable jewellery is watches, stud earrings and sleepers in the ears. Coloured nail polish and makeup should be not be worn to school.
Students should have their natural hair colour. If headbands are worn they should be red, navy or white.
If for some reason your child is sent to school out of uniform for the day, please send a note to the class teacher.
We appreciate your support of our Uniform Policy and the promotion of community pride in our school.
Please see our School Uniform Policy which includes our Dress Code which is included below.
Student Wellbeing Journals/Planners
We are very excited about the introduction of our Student Wellbeing Journals for Prep to Y4 students and the planners for the senior students. These books replace The Resilience Project Books we have used in the past.
The new journals/planners are an important part of our Wellbeing Program. They incorporate a range of activities for students to complete. They include:
Mindfulness and becoming self-aware of the needs and feelings of others
Character Strength Activities
Goal setting and reflection
Respectful Relationships
Cultivating optimism and gratitude
Practising Positive Emotions
The Prep and Junior Journals include Readers are Leaders pages weekly, so records can be kept of what students are reading at home. Parents can support students to take responsibility for their reading and develop that important habit of regular reading.
The Senior Planners are a diary format which students will be asked to regularly use.
Please ensure the journals/planners are brought to school each day. It’s an important skill for students to develop the responsibility of having them in their bags each day but they may need your help until the routine is established.
