Leadership @ MPS

What a week! Congratulations to everyone for the seamless transition back to Remote Learning. A special mention to our new Foundation families that expertly navigated platforms that were unfamiliar to them! For a "snap lockdown", we had an extraordinary high level of attendance on our Webex meetings and also calibre of work submitted. Our Monty students are amazing and we can confidently say, are also resilient! We may celebrate tomorrow with the offer of a sugar free Zooper Dooper to our incredible students! We are all extremely proud.
We are so pleased to be able to welcome back Parents as Helpers into our classrooms and Kitchen/Garden. Please refer to former Compass feed regarding compliance.
You are able to sign up via the document outside of your child's class, or via the google doc for SAKG. If you are having difficulty, please call the office- we are happy to assist.
Applications for our Grade 6 leadership positions are open! Our Grade 6 students are currently working through the process for a school leadership position. This year, we are pleased to observe great interest in these roles. As per the norm with opportunities such as these, there will be some children that will be disappointed with the overall outcome. As parents and carers, it is essential that we emphasize the importance of the journey; the effort, the experience and the attitude demonstrated. As adults, through life and work experiences, we’ve learned that success is not always counted by wins or promotions or even good grades! Teaching our children how to reflect, come up with points of pride that they can hold onto, as well as objectively seeing areas that may need developing, is an essential life skill. I wish all of our Grade 6's, a terrific journey over the next few weeks.
We will be acknowledging this Semester's SRC this coming Monday at assembly with badge presentation.
