Principal News

Dear Sacred Heart Community

I ask that all families read the letter that will be sent home tomorrow from Belinda our Learning and Teaching Coordinator, detailing important information about your child's report. Next Wednesday our students will find out their class for next year and teacher and will have a transition session with their new class and opportunity to spend some time with their new teacher. A letter will be sent home on Wednesday detailing your child's class and teacher for next year.

First Eucharist Celebration

Congratulations to our Year Four students, Miliana, Julian and Joshua who received the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time last Sunday in a beautiful Spirit filled ceremony. It was a wonderful occasion for the students and their families and friends, who have supported them in their faith journey.

Bunning's BBQ Fundraiser

Despite the Bunning's BBQ having to be called off at 2.30pm because of dangerous winds, it was a great success. To see so many parents and staff giving of their time on the day and families supporting the event by coming and buying a sausage was very gratifying. Due to the great support we received, we were able to raise some very important funds for our school. Please see Jenny's page in the newsletter for some more information about the day.

Honouring our School Captains

As detailed in our newsletter earlier this year, we have established a plaque to honour the students who are voted by their peers and staff to be school captain each year. The captains from 2018 to present are named on the plaque and the 2021 captains will have their names inscribed early into next year's school year.

Year Prep 2021 Transition Session Two

Our second Year Prep 2021 transition session was held last Friday. As in the first session, our new Year Prep class  showed that they will be another great group of students for our school. Again they were all happy, attentive and really cooperative.

2021 School Fees

After careful consideration and discussion with Father Jan and our Business Manager, it has been decided that our school fees will be increased by 3% for next year. New Signage on Bell Street

Our new sign was finally installed yesterday. Hopefully this will increase our exposure by capturing the attention of passing traffic.

Last day of school

A reminder that the last day of school for this year is next Wednesday 16th December. Our students will be dismissed at normal dismissal time. The 2021 school year begins on Thursday 28th January for all our students.

Please stay safe.

Yours Sincerely
