P/1J Writing Focus

Each day in P1J our students focus on the writing of letters, words, sentences and groups of sentences. Throughout the week students also participate in many learning activities that give them extra writing opportunities. These activities include our class co-constructed anchor charts, guided writing sessions, big book focus, cut and paste, and writing and craft activities. We also practice our letter formation daily, and then we focus on a big book and have a planning conversation for the sentences we wish to write. Then the writing fun begins. Attached are photos of P1J students with their writing about castles.
