2020 Term 4 Excursions

We have hit the ground running this term with teachers and students focused on learning and reengaging with friends and our Term 4 Excursion Program has been designed with this in mind.

Teachers felt it was important that students have some input into our excursion destinations and activities. The majority of Year 5 and 6 students suggested the Kyabram Fauna Park, saying they would love to re-visit a place they saw in their early years at Numurkah PS and canoeing was another popular suggestion. So, based on this, teachers worked hard to organise an excursion that combined these top two suggestions. While canoeing, laughter echoed up and down the river as pairs of kids tried to paddle in a straight line.

The senior students would agree with the Prep, One, Two students when they reported that they thoroughly enjoyed the Kyabram Fauna Park; who wouldn’t have fun talking to the cockatoos and being chased by emus? Patting the snake was a big highlight as was holding Lizzy the Lizard.

Team building was the aim of the game on the Year Six excursion to the Murray Life Adventure Park. From the massive climbing wall to the giant swing, our senior students took on activities that challenged them, built resilience and strengthened friendships.

And soon it’s the Year Three-Four’s turn to venture out and create their own memories of what we’re sure will be an equally as successful and enjoyable day.
