Here we are! The team is complete, with every office in the Student Wellbeing Centre occupied. Kingston Youth Services is running some helpful and insightful programs for parents and students in coming weeks, including an opportunity for older teens to learn first aid for free.
Surviving & Thriving Year 12
Kingston Youth Services welcome Dr Michael Carr Gregg for their first Parent information night of the year “Surviving & Thriving Year 12”.
This Free online parent information night Surviving and Thriving Year 12 is a talk aimed at parents/carers of VCE students. Students themselves are welcome to attend also.
This free online event, will be on Zoom on Tuesday 8 March at 6pm. The presentation will be 60 mins + Q&A.
Key points covered:
• practical advice and useful insights on how to survive Year 12
• how to reduce stress and increase productivity
• study techniques
• how to manage sleep, social media, improve memory and avoid distractions

2022 Skate of Mind
Kingston Youth Services’ FReeZA P81 Events Committee have been working hard to hold their first big event for the year – Skate of Mind.
Come along and enjoy live music from local youth acts as well as food trucks and watch some amazing young people battle it out in the competitions for Skate, BMX and 3:3 Basketball.
Prizes are up for grabs and food trucks will be there, so bring a friend and come support local youth people in the community.
Sunday 27 February, 10 am to 4.00pm at Bicentennial Park – Thames Promenade and Scotch Parade.
Learn First Aid free!
Kingston Youth Services has an exciting opportunity for young people who would like to obtain their First Aid certification. They are currently seeking expressions of interest for a fully funded first aid course on Saturday 5 March 10am-4:30pm. Spaces are limited.
