Welcome to Country Assembly,

On Monday 7th February, we held a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony to open our first assembly of the year. Shane, from the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, conducted the ceremony and explained the significance of it to the students who then had the opportunity to walk past the smoke. It was great to see the engagement and respect shown by the students during the proceedings. 

Afterwards we celebrated this year’s school captains with a badge ceremony and address from our local Federal MP, David Southwick. It was a great first assembly for 2022.
