Hello, and welcome to the library news. 

 

HELPERS NEEDED!

 

We are thrilled to have the students back at school, borrowing books from the library.  We would love some help from parents or carers, any day who can be available from 8.40 am to help shelve books. 

 

If you can spare approximately 30 minutes in the morning, once a week, please come and see me in the library. – No experience is necessary, however, volunteers must have a current “Working with Children” card and double vaccination. (Pre-schoolers welcome)

Your help will be greatly appreciated. 

 

I would also like to remind parents and carers of the rules related to library borrowing.

  • Children in years P-3 are required to have a library bag when they come to the library.
  • Students may borrow up to five books per session.
  • Please keep drink bottles in the outside pocket of the school bags. 
  • All books are borrowed out for a period of two weeks.  If your child needs more time, they may re-borrow the book.
  • Please keep books in a safe place at home away from pets.
  • Books should be returned to the library trolley in your child’s grade, first thing in the morning.
  • The Library is open before and after school for borrowing.

 Please encourage your children to make use of the wonderful resources provided by the school.

Scholastic Book Club

Twice per term, the school distributes book catalogues from Scholastic.  With choices as low as $3.00, Scholastic keeps you up to date with the latest in Australian and International children’s books. 

The school receives points from the sales that help to stock our library shelves, but there is no obligation to buy.

It is encouraged that you order online and pay with a Credit card. No cash payments to the school.

Visit scholastic.com.au/LOOP, or download the LOOP app.  Your order is electronically linked to the rest of our school’s order.  You do not need to complete the order form. Items are delivered to your child's class. 

 

Orders for issue 1 must be placed by Monday 21st February
