Boonwurrung Ngargee Youth Dance Group 2022

 

Learn and share about Boonwurrung culture and stories, working towards a performance working with choreographer Katy McKeown, First Nations student artists and under the cultural guidance of N’arweet Carolyn Briggs AM.

For Indigenous children aged 10 and above, no experience necessary. 

FREE.

 

  • Semester 1 Dates
  • Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th February 10am to 1pm
  • Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th March 10am to 1pm
  • Sunday 24th April 10am to 1pm
  • Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May 10am-1pm
  • Performance dates to be confirmed.

Venue: Victorian College of Arts, Building 864, Studio 301 234 St Kilda Rd (you will see the dancer sculpture) Southbank campus

Victorian College of Arts is the red brick building adjacent to NGV (National Gallery of Victoria) (on the left if you are facing NGV and then cross the road and walk until you get to the dancer sculpture and go downstairs.

Parking- the nearest car park is the Arts Centre 

Station- Flinders Street

 

Bring a snack and a water bottle. 

Please do not attend if you have any signs of illness. Regretfully anyone younger than 10 years cannot attend currently due to covid regulations.
