Year 10 to 12

Year 10 Celebration Picnic

On Thursday December 2 the Year 10s along with some of the teachers enjoyed an afternoon at Ruffey Lake Park. The Picnic was a chance for all to celebrate the completion of Year 10, in what was a very strange year.

After finishing the GAT, students made their way down to Ruffey Lake Park with a range of lunch/ picnic items. On arrival they enjoyed a cold drink and ice cream; not to mention the amazing weather.

The afternoon was enjoyed by all with plenty of snacks and playing on the play equipment. For many it was like being a kid again!

The Year 10 team as well as Year 10 teachers would like to congratulate the Year 10s on successfully making it through this year and wish them the best of luck with their various endeavours in 2022.

Advance Week – Year 11 Psychology

Students in Year 11 Psychology were challenged to build the tallest tower they could – out of only a packet of spaghetti and 24 marshmallows. But there was a catch: 3 leadership styles were trialed.

Laissez Faire = the leader gave no input, only support.

Democratic = the leader encouraged all team members to have a voice on design and construction.

Autocratic = the leader made all the decisions and directed their team.

This year the winners were the Autocratic group; they had the only tower standing at the end of the 30 minute time limit. Great work, students!

1 to 1 Digital Learning Program 2022

In 2022 we will continue with our whole school 1 to 1 Digital Learning Program for all students.

The purchase of these devices is crucial to the learning program as students will access eBooks rather than an extensive number of expensive textbooks.

Details of the 1 to 1 Digital Learning Program for all students and important information regarding suitable devices are detailed in the attached policy.

**Please note that the JB Hi Fi Solutions portal is no longer open for the sale of devices. This service is not available for 2022 purchases.
