Sienna & Ivy thought the lemons were very sour!

On Wednesday afternoon, Year 1 students made Lemon Slice with Miss Thompson. Sienna, Ivy, Hunter and Hunter enjoyed crushing up the biscuits for the slice. We taste tested all of the ingredients before putting them in to see what they tasted like. The lemons were not so yummy but we all tried them! 

 

Sienna, Ivy, Hunter and Hunter enjoyed juicing the lemons and learning what 'lemon zest' is. We also really enjoyed putting the icing on and smoothing it out nicely. We put our finished lemon slice in the freezer to help it set quickly and then we all got to taste test the slice. It got the tick of approval! ✅

Today, our class had their second session of MARC lessons with Mrs Bree Porter.  They read a story 'Nibble- the book monster' by Emma Yarlett and completed activities about the story.
