Last term in Geography I was learning about looking after the environment, household waste and recycling.
In Design and Technology I built a planter box and the box was made out of wood. To make the planter box, Matthew Ward helped me drill it with drill bits and I screwed it together. The trickiest part was using the drop saw and using the drill because they were loud and noisy.
On the last day of term Bindi Belling and I went to the Return and Earn collection point to recycle cans and bottles. I had to put the cans and bottles in the machine and it gave us a ticket. I took the ticket to Woolworths and the register gave me the money. I got $16. Afterwards we went to Bunnings and we bought some flowers and dirt for the planter box. I had to be careful and budget the money by checking the prices and adding them up.
The best part was when I put the dirt in the planter box and planted the flowers. I took it home and gave it to mum.
