Inspired by Cubist artists

Artwork creations by Year 9 students - Julie Ngo (L) and Cisem Kolak (R)

Over the past few weeks, Year 9 Photography and Digital Media students have been documenting and exploring their experiences of “Life in Isolation” via their online learning program.

They have considered the important role photo journalism and photography in general plays in documenting important and significant moments in our lives as well as in history.

Year 9 have been exploring how to recreate a portrait that shows the many emotions we face in this confusing and often overwhelming time. Inspired by the work of Cubist artists and photographers, the class has been using Photoshop to manipulate and construct multilayered digital portraits.
