AGM – Annual General Meeting – Wednesday 11th December

WOW it’s the AGM already!!!!! SAVE THE DATE!!! What a year it has been and in the blink of an eye we are now nearing the end of 2019!! Please join us for our last meeting of the year where a new committee will be selected.  Please remember without volunteers the P&F cannot exist! The students are counting on all of us to be there and organise all the fun events over the year.

 

Events that the P&F organise:

Easter Raffle and Hot Cross bun drive; Mother’s Day Raffle, Stall and High Tea; Father’s Day Raffle, Stall and Morning tea; Communion and Confirmation morning teas; Hot Food Days; the Vinnies Winter Appeal; Trivia Nights; Second Hand Uniform Sales; Cake stalls; Fetes and Night Markets; Colour Fun runs; Bunnings sausage sizzle; Christmas raffles plus more!!!!!! Remember without the volunteers the students will miss out on all the above!!!!

 

Hot Food Day – Friday 15th November

This Hot Food day is being organised on Sports Carnival day! We will be having a sausage sizzle and donuts. To make it even better the P&F will be giving away FREE icy poles!! Yay!!! Orders for HFD close Midnight on Monday 11th November (TONIGHT). Icy poles will be handed out at Shore Reserve at the conclusion of the sports carnival. Whoever is available to assist with handing out the icy poles at the reserve please let Rose Piotti know on 0418 306 802.

 

Christmas Night Market meeting – Wednesday 13th November

Our next Christmas Night Market meeting will be held this Wednesday 13th November at 7:00pm in the school staffroom. We have just over a week to go until the big day!!!!

 

Christmas Night Market – Friday 22nd November

The market will open for everyone at 4:30pm and close by 8:30pm.

-Please remember to spread the word to family, friends and work colleagues of this event. The more the merrier – we want the night to be SPECTACULAR!! And remember a special someone will be there… HoHoHo!!

  • Volunteers are urgently required!!!!!!!
  • PLEASE sign up by Wednesday 20/11 (this week) so we can organise the night and not have to be forced to cancel stalls!!!
  • If you would like to volunteer your time at the market, please visit https://signup.com/go/NiBQKbC (copy and paste into web browser) and choose a stall (or two) that you would like to help with.
  • Each stall has a two-hour time slot, so you can choose your preference.
  • Volunteers for setup and pack up are always needed (the more volunteers we can have the better)
  • Stall Leaders are also required – leaders are required a few days before the event and at 1:30pm on the day of the event. You are not required to stay the whole night. We just need help setting up the stalls.

Donations required:

  • Marquees and Eskys – large or small - (please leave in meeting room next to school office from Monday 18th November with your name clearly labelled)
  • 2nd hand uniforms and 2nd hand kids clothing – (all items to be received by Monday 18th November so we can sort and prepare)
  • 2nd hand children’s books only (in excellent condition – no missing/ripped pages etc) (all items to be received by Monday 18th November so we can sort and prepare)
  • Cake stall items – please let us know if you plan on bringing anything for the cake stall so we can plan the stall accordingly
  • Home made stall items – please bring in anything home made or store bought that you believe will be great to sell at the stall – leave your item in front of the school library and label it accordingly
  • Cane baskets and crates are required for our fruit stall – these will be returned to you
  • If anyone has a fruit tree and is willing to donate some fruit to the market (lemons, limes etc), please let us know. We can organise a drop off time closer to the market date.

Donations from each classroom:

  • We have asked for donations from every classroom and we a very grateful for those that have brought in their allocated item.
  • We now have a surplus of lolly bags so we ask if the Year 2 students (if you have not brought anything in already) bring in another item on the list instead.
  • Please see below items we request your child to bring in

       PREP- PLASTIC BOWLS / SMALL PAPER PLATES

       YEAR 1- NAPKINS/PLASTIC CUTLERY

       YEAR 2- ANYTHING FROM THE OTHER LISTS (ie paper plates etc)

       YEAR 3 & 4- CHOCOLATE BAR/BLOCKS

       YEAR 5 & 6- CANS OF SOFT DRINK and/or WATER BOTTLES

 

Christmas Night Market – general information meeting – Monday 18th November @ 8:45am

We understand night meetings are not possible to attend for most families, so a general information meeting will be held on Monday 18th November @ 8:45am in the school library (TBC). If you have any general questions or would like a quick overview of events and timelines for the lead up and/or day of the night market, please come along. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome also!

 

Icy Pole Days – Term 4

There are only 3 more Fridays for icy poles!!! The P&F will require lots of helpers. If you believe you will be available on Fridays (or even one Friday) to help sell the icy poles to the students, please contact Rose Piotti on 0418 306 802. Please Note: icy poles will not be offered on 22/11/2019 (day of Night Market)
