WEEK SIX: Term 4

Dear Parents and Friends,

There is only two more weeks before our big school community event - our Christmas Night Market on Friday November 22nd.  The P & F and many other St Fidelis families are busily organising and meeting on a weekly basis to ensure this is a successful night for the community of St Fidelis.  Please come and support our market as there are plenty of stalls to suit everyone such as:  fruit and veggies, homewares, candles, nail and tattoos, only to name a few. Have a night off cooking and enjoy some of the food we will have at our market such as pies and halloumi pockets, sausages, burgers, fairy floss, slushies etc. There is something for everyone. There are also a couple of jumping castles for the children to enjoy. A reminder this is a public event. Our teachers will be present at the market to ensure the safety of all and they will be wearing orange vests. If you require any assistance, please ask one of the teachers.  However, the teachers are not there to supervise your children so please ensure you know where your children are at all times.

Combined Schools Choir

Thank you to Mrs Hedley and the St Fidelis choir for representing our school at the Coburg RSL community Remembrance Day ceremony .

The Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Year Two students have been attending Mass with their families over the past three-week’s in preparation for their Reconciliation on Saturday 23rd and Saturday 30th. Please continue to keep these young students in your prayers.

Foundation Students 2020 Transition Program

The new Foundation students and parents have completed stage two of their transition to St Fidelis Program. The parents and students have spent 4 weeks being involved in different school experiences and information sessions ensuring that new parents and their children have a welcoming and smooth transition to St Fidelis Community in 2020. This was the first time we have tried this process and many parents have said that it has been worthwhile and have seen a change in their child’s confidence and resilience by the end of the four weeks.  A special thank you to everyone involved in the transition program. Mrs Wenckowski, Mrs Ferraro, Mrs Reymers, Mrs Naso, Mrs Turville, Mrs Hedley, Mr Jennings and Mrs Ciaverella (P&F ). It takes many people to run successful programs thank you again.

Enjoy your week
