SPORT

At the end of last term all students from Year 3-6 participated in the Hoop Time competition at MSAC. This competition is held between all schools in our Holt District. Students are given the opportunity no matter what their ability to play in a team, All Stars, Future Stars and Rookies. It is always a fabulous day with many volunteers needed to coach, score and generally look after the teams. This year we took 13 teams so I am extremely grateful to all the parents who assisted in anyway, THANK-YOU!! Also thank-you to the staff who came along and coached a team.

Many of our teams won some, lost some and drew some, but the smiles and the red faces on all our students at some point is what it is all about. All students seem to really love this day and get a lot out of it. Two of our teams in particular did very well and won their respective divisions and will therefore go on to play in the Regional Finals this term.

Congratulations to the All Star Boys year 5 and 6 team. As well as the Year 3 and 4 All Star Girls teams. The All Star Boys will be playing off against 13 other schools next Tuesday 15th October and the All Star Girls will be competing in November, this date is to be confirmed.

We wish both teams the best of luck!

Swimming Program and Carnival

This term we also look forward to the school swimming program and Carnival. This will be held at the same location as in previous years. SwimRight Sandringham

150 Tulip Street, Cheltenham, Vic, 3192

The swimming program will run from Monday 18th November until Wednesday 27th November. The swimming carnival will be held the following day on Thursday 28th November. If you have any concerns regarding the swimming program please contact myself or your child’s classroom teacher. We will be asking for volunteers with current Working With Children Checks to help get students ready before and after swimming.

On that can I ask that all families please ensure their child’s CareMonkey is up to date in regards to swimming abilities.

Thank-you
