Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser Day
Edenhope College is holding its annual Cystic Fibrosis Day of Wednesday December 9. A casual clothes day and canteen will be part of the activities, full details to follow.
Rememberance Day
Students and staff paused to reflect and participate in a Rememberance Day service on Wednesday November 11.
Due to COVID restrictions, students had to remain in their classrooms and listened to the service over the PA system instead of congregating in front of the school. Students also participated in different activities in their own classroom, including the Year 3/4 students who made poppies and the Foundation students who made wreaths.
Advance students Dashel Adams and Trinity Hollis joined Acting Principal, Trevor McClure to lay a wreath on behalf of Edenhope College at the Town Memorial.
White Ribbon Day
Each year Edenhope College support White Ribbon Day, either by joining in the local march, inviting guest speakers or having in-class discussions around gender-based family violence.
This year West Wimmera Shire Council placed a poster on the College fence for the community to stick on white ribbons (available at Shire Office) to show support for the White Ribbon stand against violence. There are ribbons at the front College front office for staff and students.
Please find the link to listen to Horsham woman, Simone O’Brien’s talk on her story of survival, as a victim of domestic violence.
Please be aware that some people may find her story confronting and children should only watch this under parental supervision.
