Picture perfect burger challenge

In our Year 9 class #We Love Food, one of the activities students completed this week involved an examination of how food can be manipulated to create the ‘perfect’ image or how an image can be manipulated to improve the visual quality of the food. Students were given the task of styling a hamburger to make it look like the photograph used by a large fast food outlet in their advertising.

As the lesson progressed students were overheard discussing how it was impossible to recreate the image. In the past editions of the newsletter we have showcased some great looking food, many students this week said they could recreate the taste but not the image. 

Students were given the commercial image shown in the banner, and the same ingredients, with the challenge of recreating this burger.
