Aroma Coming to BSC

Aroma Coffee House & Eatery is coming to Bairnsdale Secondary College! Aroma has been successful in securing the expression of interest to operate the College canteen in 2021. The canteen will open from 8.00am to 2.00pm each school day, with a variety of foods and drinks available. Healthy options will always be available, as well as a few treats and occasional foods. The College sincerely thanks Maree, Di and Sue, who have worked long and hard to run the canteen for many years now. We are fortunate that they will continue to work within the College.

Welcome to a New BSC Staff Member

At the end of Term 3 the College was pleased to welcome Hammad Mahmood, our new Specialist Technician and part of the ICT Team. Hammad currently works part time, spending the remainder of his time travelling as far as Mallacoota looking after other East Gippsland schools. Hammad’s job is mostly to assist Ben Lee to upgrade and maintain the Colleges ICT infrastructure. 

Second Hand Uniforms

If families are purchasing new uniforms for students, or students no longer need their school uniform, please consider donating these items to the College. We welcome donations of used uniforms in the Administration Office. The College keeps a uniform collection bank and distributes clothing to support students in need.

Staff Pet

Meet DD (officially named Delilah) the cutest member of the ‘BSC Staff Pets Team’. DD's human is Sloane MacRae, who works in the ICT Department. She certainly has Sloane wrapped around her little finger.

DD is a 6-month-old Fancy Rat. She is (selectively) obedient and comes when called, but only when there is food on offer. She is super-affectionate and loves cuddles. She also loves to spend her days sleeping and building herself a new fort so she can have another sleep in style. Despite her small size she is extremely curious and brave – her best friend is a dog that occasionally tries to eat her!
