Principal's Message

Welcome to the end of week 7! The term is certainly motoring along.
'Kevin' has been a 'winner winner chicken dinner!' I have been absolutely thrilled with the attitude and commitment of our now Year 12 students to the program. On Friday 20th November we are are on day 5 of the Year 12 program, with only 172 school days to go until exams begin in 2021!
Staff have also expressed how pleased they have been with the students during transition into Year 12. Phase 2 for these students comes when they head off to study camp on Monday 23rd November. I am excited about the outstanding results that this cohort of students can attain the year to come.
Please be sure to keep checking Compass for all the details of 'Kevin'.
In fact the whole College seems to be just 'ticking over nicely' at the moment, as we have again re-established the expectations, routines and structure of school after the students have been out of routine for such an extended time.
I was also super happy to meet with Kim Green today, who will be assuming the mantle for the Music program at the College. Kim was in Bairnsdale trying to secure housing for next year - a perfect chance to catch up. We had the opportunity to discuss future directions for both classroom and instrumental music at the College. I know that Kim is really keen to meet the team and students and truly drive improvement in all areas of her work.
The business of school kicks into overdrive in the next few weeks, so buckle up and please ensure that you support your children by keeping abreast of the events to come.
Something to ponder: With our new College values of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility, how have you reflected those values within your family and homes during the past week? I would be keen to hear from you if you are willing to share.
Always happy to chat
