END OF TERM

Hi everyone, as it’s nearly the end of term, please remember that there will be NO canteen (orders or counter sales) on Friday as I will be doing the end of term cleaning jobs!

Thursday will be a big day for orders, and, as my usual Friday helper can’t work Thursdays, I’d appreciate some help on Thursday to ensure all of the lunches will be out on time. I need someone from 9.00-10.30am to help with order processing, then someone from about 11.00am-12.00pm to help with recess sales and preparing lunches, and finally a last helper from 12.15-1.15pm to help with packing and lunchtime counter sales. 

If you can help with one of these time slots please send me a text on 0403 664 999.

I’d like to send a big thank you to everyone for making the switch to the new menu/prices almost seamless. We are receiving very few orders with the old prices, and most people are making the effort to put in correct change (or as close as possible).

We frequently get teary children who have forgotten to put their order in, expecting the canteen to start cooking at 1pm, which is just not feasible. If your child forgets their lunch order, they will be offered a sandwich and piece of fruit – NO alternatives. Please REMIND your child to put their order in the box in the classroom when they get to school, especially those in the younger grades.

Slushies will be back on sale next term, counter sales ONLY. These are the healthy variety made of 99% real juice and not full of sugar. We use icm8 slushies which are approved by the school canteens association. 

Also, we will be welcoming back salads for spring/summer, which can be ordered as a straight salad (with or without dressing), or add $1.00 and add either chicken or ham to make it a more 'meaty' lunch.
