Year 3

Think Tank

During Remote Learning in Term 3, the Year 3 students participated in the BNPS Think Tank. They were asked to use a design brief to create a new invention from an existing product. They then presented their ideas to the class and three products were voted as the winners in each class. Companies were formed to represent each product to be presented at the BNPS Annual Shark Tank Convention.

On return to school, students applied for a position in a company by submitting a resume and an application outlining their strengths. The positions available were: Chief Executive Office, Finance Officer, Marketing Team and Prototype Creator.

From this students were allocated to a company and they had to work collaboratively to complete the Shark Tank Presentation with that company.

On Thursday, the students presented their new inventions at our Annual Shark Tank Convention. Thanks to our sharks this year Nurse Nicole, Nat Venuto, Mrs Murnane and Mrs Taylor for participating in this event and making some excellent investment choices.

On Friday, we had our Shark Tank industry awards where students and teams were recognised for their work leading up to Shark Tank.

Congratulations to our two winning products for 2020:

  • The Smoothie Silencer
  • Poppy’s Magic Sea Cleaning Hands
