Spotlight on Curious Learning

Curious Learning in Year 1

In Science and Technology students in Year 1 have been learning about different materials such as plastic, rubber, glass, paper and metal. So far we’ve investigated how materials can change physically and chemically such as uncooked pasta changing when it is cooked. Predicting and identifying changes that happen to everyday materials is an important skill that students learn, providing them with solutions to problems in everyday life.

We used cooked spaghetti to create interesting artwork as well!
