Monochromatic Self Portraits
Year 2 students used mirrors to try and achieve realistic facial details in their self portraits. Then, they selected a paint colour and learned about value (the lightness or darkness or a colour) by mixing white to make tints and black to make shades. Lastly, they added some dotty details inspired by the artworks of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
