Summer Sport Gala Days

This year for the first time ever, our district will be trialling Gala Days for Interschool Sport. Over this term, there will be two full days of competition with our 5/6's allocated to teams and competing against nine schools in our district in a round robin format.

The Grade 5/6 students have been training hard in their teams on Friday mornings, learning the skills, strategies and rules required in their sport. The sports incude: Basketball, T20 Cricket, T-Ball, Sofcrosse, Hot Shpots Tennis and Volleybounce.

We cannot wait for Gala Day 1 next Tuesday 28th February!

Swimming Trials & Training

Over the first two weeks of school, super keen swimmers from Grade 3-6 have got up nice and early for weekly swimming sessions at Croydon Memorial Pool. For the first session, our swimmers completed time trials to see if they could meet the required times to qualify for District competition. The following week the team worked on perfecting their stroke, their starting and finishing technique as well as working on speed. We loved having one of our 2022 school leaders, Tilly, there to help coach the team!

Our team will compete next Monday 27th February against all the amazing swimmers in the Ringwood District. Good Luck to the team:

Grade 4: Isla CM, Abby Y, Maya S

Grade 5: Violet B, Martin B, Tabby B, Zach J, Ava S, Max V

Grade 6: Hamish M, Lachie R, Zoe W

Keep Active!
