PARENTS & FRIENDS UPDATE

The Parents and Friends Committee has hit the ground running this year and if icy pole sales are any indication, we are in for a bumper year!

Icy poles will be sold every Friday in Term 1 (except Friday 3 March), weather dependent. The cost is $1 and correct change is appreciated for our parent helpers, who are generously giving up their time to run the stall. If you can spare 45mins on a Friday afternoon to help out, please contact pandf@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au or speak to Kerrie Scott or Shannon O’Riley.

P&F meeting next week

Our first meeting for the year is coming up next week at 7.30pm on Tuesday 28th February in the P&F Room (the old art room). We welcome new prospective members to come along and learn more about the role of P&F at Holy Spirit. It’s a great way to find out more about what’s going on at school too, beyond the standard “Nothing much” response that usually follows when we ask our kids what they did that day! 

Dad’s Night

Would you love to have a beer (or soft drink) with Duncan? Come along to Dads Night from 7pm on Thursday 23rd February at Croydon Hotel Sports Bar. Drinks at bar prices.

Movie Night – Lyle, Lyle Crocodile

Our first major event for 2023 is only two weeks away! The annual Holy Spirit Movie Night is always a fantastic event and this year, we’ve upped the ante with a twilight kids disco before the movie starts and Berty and Co Food Truck! We are also looking for parent volunteers to assist on the night. This event can’t run without your help so please consider giving an hour or two of your time to ensure this event is a success! Term 1 Food Day – Subway

We are excited to announce our Term 1 Food Day will be held on Friday 17th March to coincide with STAR Day. Families will be able to pre-order a delicious Subway lunch for their children. More information to follow next month. 

Second-hand uniform shop

Our first second-hand uniform shop session for 2023 will be held on Wednesday 1 March at 2.50pm-3.20pm. Please note, the uniform shop has moved and is now located in the old Art room, across from the church. As 2023 is our uniform transition year, white tops and grey bottoms are still able to be worn. We currently have limited amounts of brand new white short-sleeve tops and long sleeve tops available for $15 each, which is less than half-price compared to PSW. The uniform shop accepts cash only, or you can pay by card at the school office.

Class Reps 2023

A huge thank you to the generous parents who have volunteered their time to be our Class Reps for 2023! You will hear from them shortly (if you haven’t already) as they begin to organise class contact lists and online parent communication groups.
