PLAYGROUND LINE MARKING

Last week we were very excited to have our playground Line markings completed by EduMarking. They look absolutely fantastic and our students have already been having a blast utilising these during both learning time and break times. We still have a few more artworks to be installed at a later date to support our phonics approach.

We would like to thank all parents for their flexibility in the change of pick-up zones that occurred on the afternoon of the installation

COLOUR RUN

We have been doing a phenomenal job of raising money for our colour run and are very much looking forward to the event on the 17th of March!!

Not only are we hosting an awesome explosion event, students can win up to 15 awesome automated incentive prizes by fundraising via online sponsorship donations. Students have received a sponsorship book with instructions on setting up their cybersafe, online fundraising profile at www.australianfundraising.com.au

Fundraising for our Colour Explosion School Fun Run is entirely online. At the end of our fundraiser, student’s incentive prizes are ordered automatically based on their fundraising total and Golden Coins. Students can win up 15 unique incentive prizes! You only need to raise $10 to achieve your first incentive prize. From there, you will win more and more as your fundraising total soars!

We would love for all our students at Orchard Park to register their profile online. We have set the challenge to our students that the first class to have all students register their profile will receive a class reward. Please note this is just to register their profile, it has nothing to do with raising funds.

PANCAKE TUESDAY

On Tuesday 21st of February, we will be cooking up some pancakes for our students to enjoy in the morning block!

You will have seen an event pop up in your Compass Newsfeed with further details. It is really important that you provide consent as for health reasons we are unable to serve your child pancakes without this consent.

All of the proceeds are going towards funding the rewards on our Spark Buck Prize Menu including the purchasing of a Nintendo Switch, ingredients for cooking classes and Zooper Doopers on Fridays.

OPEN AFTERNOON

On Wednesday 22nd February between 2:15pm and 4:30pm we would like to invite all of our families in for an Open Afternoon. This will be an opportunity for each of our families to come into the school and explore your child’s learning environment, including both the learning communities and specialist spaces. The school day will conclude at 3:00pm as per usual however, the learning communities will be open until approximately 3:20pm.

We would like to emphasise that this afternoon is not an opportunity for a formal parent-teacher interview. There will be an opportunity for this at a later date. We would really like the emphasis of this event to be a more informal opportunity to build relationships and social connections with our community.

From about 3:30pm onwards our Parents & Friends group are putting on a Sausage Sizzle for all of our families to enjoy. The staff will also have a series of outdoor games set up for you to enjoy quality time with your children as well as get to know some of the other parents in the community. Big Childcare will also be running a basketball competition in the gym for all families to enjoy.

The event will conclude at 4:30pm.

To support our Parents and Friends group in catering for this event, we would appreciate if you could please fill in this google form to indicate the number of people you will have attending. Please note this is a soft RSVP, don’t stress if you have a couple of extras join on the evening, the link is purely to get a rough indication for catering purposes.

 STAFF CARPARK

We are asking all parents to please not park in the staff carpark when dropping off and picking up their children. The staff carpark is for staff members only and we need to ensure that all vehicles are safely parked during school hours. By parking in the designated zones, it will help us to ensure our students are safely accessing and departing the school grounds. Thank you for your cooperation.
