Attendance Ladder Winners
We congratulate 752 on winning the attendance competition for this term. This is a fantastic effort by all involved and was a very tight finish. We remind students of the importance of maximum attendance at school.
Orientation Day
On Tuesday 8 December we welcomed the Year 7 group for 2016. Throughout the day we had a number of current Year 7 student helpers.
We would like to thank all helpers for their assistance throughout the day. We would also like to congratulate the whole Year 7 cohort for the way they conducted themselves; they were excellent role models.
End of Year Program - Excursions
Luna Park
Students are reminded to bring a packed lunch to Luna Park. They should also bring a hat and a drink bottle. All students must wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing (t-shirt/shorts/pants).
Ice Skating
Students are reminded to bring lunch and a water bottle. It is also recommended they wear full length pants.
Laser Strike
Students are to wear full school uniform to school. They will then get a chance to change into their PASE uniform.
Year 7 Captains Report
This year we have had an awesome time in Year 7. We have enjoyed all sporting events, including; basketball, tennis and many more. We have enjoyed all excursions and felt much relief when we completed all our Common Assessment Tasks.
We thank our teachers for making our first year of of high school a major success. We have really enjoyed Year 7.
We hope the new Year 7’s have a smooth transition into Lilydale High School. We wish everybody a safe holiday and a Merry Christmas.

Well Wishes
With less than a week to go we wish all current Year 7’s the best as they enter into Year 8. We remind them to aim high and to always challenge themselves.
It has been a pleasure leading the year class of 2015 and we look forward to watching them continue to succeed at Lilydale High School.
We remind all students to attend the final Year 7 Assembly on Thursday 18 December, where we will recognise the hard work and dedication of the students with awards and certificates.

YEAR 8 ATTENDANCE COMPETITION
Congratulations to 8.66 for winning our Term 4 'Attendance Competition'. With an average class attendance of 96.6% across the entire term we are very impressed with the consistent commitment and dedication this class displayed toward their education.
A PIZZA LUNCH was held for 8.66 at lunchtime today, to celebrate!
YEAR 9 ELECTIVE SUBJECTS
Year 8 students
A list of elective subjects for all Year 8 students is NOW displayed on the windows of Room 67 (Science Room – near Middle School).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Students must write down the electives in the line next to their name.
- Students can expect to have been allocated at least 7 out of their 9 first preferences.
- If there were clashes, students have been allocated subjects from their second preference sheet or spoken with individually.
- Simple swaps have been made automatically to allow students to be given their preferences (For example, from Semester 1 to Semester 2. Please note this is not considered a ‘change’).
- No elective changes will be made this year.
- Requests for elective changes will be considered after the 2nd week of Term 1, 2016 (Monday 8 February).
- Not all changes will be possible due to course requirements and student numbers in classes.
- Form group information will be available on the first day back of school 2016.
- Students whose names do not appear on the list, must see Miss Harmes in the Middle School Office.
