Canteen News

Hi from the canteen – Term 3! This term we have introduced a new menu and the students seem to be enjoying the variety.   We have made some changes which allow greater choice, including; 'Build your own Burger Day’ on Tuesday's and ‘Wrap it your Way’ each Thursday – Students can choose their own fillings and create a burger or wrap especially designed for them. (Students must order before school or at recess for this service).

We also have Pasta & Pizza Monday, Wedges Wednesday and some old favourites on Fridays. Our fabulous Parmy Burgers are still available! 

So come in and have a look, make sure you order your lunch and you’ll be guaranteed to get what you want. If you need any help with building your burger or wrap, just ask us, we are only too happy to help. 

Canteen Week is fast approaching and we will be celebrating from the 27th – 31st July. This is an annual event launched by the Australian School Canteen Association to promote, recognize and celebrate all the great benefits of having a school canteen. 

It should be a great week celebrating our fabulous canteen and our great volunteers’ & helpers.  We have a few special things organized such as meal deals – add 50c to any lunch special and receive a Prima or add $1.00 and get a can of soft drink. 

We will also run a few competitions: 

Guess the lollies in the jar - $1.00 a guess and all money raised goes to Chaplaincy. Correct Guess (or closest to correct) will win a $5.00 canteen voucher & the jar of lollies!!  

Our second comp is for ordering your lunch - If a student orders their lunch every day, during canteen week, they will go into the draw to receive a $10.00 canteen voucher. 

So get yourself organized and start ordering on Monday 27th July to be in the running to win the voucher.

Volunteer duties have been emailed; if you haven’t received yours please let us know. Canteen Duty is from 9:30am until 1:30pm; duties include assisting us with preparation, heating and serving of lunch orders, assisting with window sales at recess & lunch time, and some light cleaning. No prior experience is necessary.  We will give you lots of help and assistance, as well as a tasty light lunch!
