News from the Deaf Facility

After school on Wednesday 17th June a group of twelve parents and students who are deaf and hard of hearing gathered to listen to Mr Gary Kerridge present about supports for deaf students at TAFE and university and pathways, to employment.

Gary is the National Disability Co-ordination Officer (NDCO) for the Western Melbourne Region.

Gary is also deaf and was able to give detailed answers to parents’ questions about growing up deaf and his working life as a deaf person and he was very well received.
