French Sister School Exchange 2016
Saturday 14 May to Friday 3 June
Together with Sharon Stoyanoff and Kristy Mays, 11 students from Years 10-12 studying French, are participating in an exchange with our sister school, Lycée Darchicourt.
Lycée Darchicourt is located in the town of Hénin-Beaumont, south of Lille in the north west of France.
Throughout the tour, students will be immersed in French culture and converse with their host families using French. They will experience situations where they can use French, such as when purchasing meals, visiting tourist monuments and navigating their way through the cities of the region by foot and when using public transport.
While in Paris, students will participate in excursions to places of historical interest, for example the Palace of Versailles, the centre of power prior to the French Revolution, the Louvre museum and Notre Dame Cathedral.
