National Literacy & Numeracy Week

National Literacy & Numeracy Week is almost here! The NLNW celebrates the importance of literacy and numeracy within Australian schools.

The week is scheduled for Week 8: Monday 31st August – Friday 4th September.

We have plenty of literacy and numeracy competitions planned for students throughout the five days. During NLNW, students will be given competition details each morning during TA. 

We encourage students to attend TA, complete the activities and then submit their entries as there will be plenty of prizes to be won!

INSTAGRAM NLNW Competition

To kick off Book Week and National Literacy and Numeracy week, we have an exciting competition to announce

Students and families can enter to win iTunes vouchers to the value of:

• First prize: $30
• Second prize: $20
• Third prize: $10

How to enter:

1.    Take a photo that showcases the literacy and/or numeracy within our school

2.    Upload it to Instagram and use the hashtag #shepphighNLNW2015

3.    Vote on uploaded photos by liking your favourite/s.

4.    The winning Instagrams will have the most likes and meet the conditions of entry

Conditions of entry:

One entry per person, so make it a good one! 

    Must be positive and creative

    Must not include any faces

    Must be related to literacy/numeracy &                     Shepparton High School
