Fairfax Festival Insursion

On Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August, a group of students from mixed year levels were lucky enough to have two visiting actors run workshops with them, on how to create performances out of body percussion.

Sam and Pat of the performance group “Brodayasta” were highly impressed with the creativity of our students as well as their confidence and respectful behaviour. The students involved included our two year 11 Mentors, Belle Ryan and Sean Morris, as well as Julia Retallick, Georgia Brennan, Neesa Witt, Jim Brown, Kaylie Fowler and Charlie Hammond.

All students involved really enjoyed their workshops and can’t wait to go to Swan Hill for the festival at the end of term!

Year 11 Drama Excursion

On Monday 17th August the Year 11 VCE Drama class went to the Drama Victoria Regional VCE Exam preparation day. 

This was a wonderful opportunity for students to get specific feedback from VCAA examiners on how to prepare for their exams and their solo performances at the end of the year.

Students were also excited to be able to meet other VCE drama students and to collaborate and share ideas with them on how to approach their performance tasks. 

All in all this was a great day filled with many rich opportunities for learning.
