Mary Poppins Production
Congratulations to the following Year 7 students (see Main page photo) who will be performing in the St Bede’s / Kilbreda College Production 'Mary Poppins'.
All of these young men have worked tirelessly since the start of the year in preparing for the production.
Well done!
Time and Space
It was encouraging to see the response to the college’s first ever TIME and SPACE evening which was held on Monday July 29
The evening provided a fantastic opportunity for Year 7 students to attend with their female mentors and reflect on topics ranging from relationships to secondary school transition.
Students and guests were provided a forum to also meet with others and share stories and ideas relevant to topics which were raised.
Many of our senior students also played an instrumental role in the evening and lead the small group discussions with great maturity.
Hopefully many of the Year 7 students and guests in attendance will continue to be involved with the program as mentors as it roles into following year levels.
Cross Country
Congratulations to all Year 7 students who competed so enthusiastically in the Year 7 House Cross Country Championship on Friday July 26.
We were blessed with pleasant conditions when Mr Radley set the students off for the start of the gruelling 3km course which saw runners tackle the soft sands of Mentone beach before the treacherous climb up McBean’s ramp before returning along the beach track.
Edward Gibson (7.7) took out the title for Year 7 closely followed by Rhett Fernando (7.8) and Jonah O’Connor (7.4).
