Debating

Round 5

There was much to hope for, and aspire to, as our Debating squad entered the final round of domestic competition for 2019, the power-paired round. In each section from A through to D,

St Bede’s had a team in the equal lead – reflective of strong and successful efforts thus far. As we await the rest of the State-wide competition to be completed, I congratulate ALL of our college representative debaters this season and commend them on a fine effort. Well done boys!

Results:

Sincere thanks to staff mentors: Sally Spencer, Theresa Lochery, Carl De Souza and Shae Hower, who maintained committed efforts to their respective teams throughout the season, and without whom, it would be impossible to facilitate opportunity for so many of our students to experience the DAV competition. Thank you also to our loyal band of parent supporters who attend each round.

We look forward to the first round of Finals Play Offs in late August and wish those teams who proceed the very best of luck.
