Parent Portal
The College has implemented a new Learning Management System named Simon which staff and students are actively using. Parents will be able to access the parent component called PAM (Parent Access Module) by the start of March. PAM will replace Maze for Parents and PTO to provide student information, student reports, and parent teacher bookings. Instructions for accessing and using PAM will be emailed in late February.
Apple recall on chargers
Apple have issued a worldwide recall on chargers issued to iOS devices (such as iPads) between 2003 to 2015 due to a potential risk of electrical shock. This includes iPads issued by St Bede’s over the past 6 years. Note that current Year 7 students have iPads with chargers that are safe and do not need to be replaced. Whilst the College is negotiating with Apple to potentially provide an exchange program onsite, parents are encouraged to take their own son’s chargers directly to the Apple store for immediate exchange. This is a very quick process and can be done on a walk in basis at Apple Southland without proof of purchase. Below is a link to the Apple website which will provide more information on the program. https://www.apple.com/support/ac-wallplug-adapter/
