Lockdown - Again!
I am astounded to see the continued resilience that our school community display during the pandemic. Our teachers were quick into action implementing remote learning at short notice and our students have displayed a very positive attitude this week. The children are very familiar of the importance of having a positive mindset and I am very proud of the way they have responded to the latest lockdown.
At this stage we hope to be back at school next Wednesday 28th July. Please keep an eye out for update notifications and emails.
Great Parenting Advice
Many of you may know of Parenting Advice expert Maggie Dent. I recently saw her interviewed on TV and I thought her practical strategies and suggestions were excellent. Here is a link to an article on tips for families in isolation. I encourage you to have a look at the videos and fact sheets on other parenting topics that are very easy to read.
2022 Enrolments Open
We are now open for 2022 Prep enrolments and will begin Prep Interviews when the current lockdown concludes. We able to hold our Open Day last week and the parents who attended were very impressed with the school and the Gr 6 tour guides. We encourage all forms to be returned to school ASAP so we can get the transition process underway.
Parish Contribution
Thank you to the Parish Bingo Committee for their generous contribution of $3000 to our school. This asist's with providing extra resources throughout the school for our students.
NDC Production
Our Gr 5/6 students enjoyed attending the Notre Dame production of The Little Shop of Horrors last week. It was great to see so many ex St Mary's students in the cast.

Bianca has developed excellent work habits and is a very focussed learner who continues to produce her best work. She is very caring to her classmates and can be relied on to be responsible at all times. Thank you for being an important part of the St Mary's community Bianca!

Congratulations to Alexis Jacques who represented St Mary's at an interschool equestrian event recently. The photos below are of Alexis riding her pony Max. We might have a future olympian in our midst!
