Music News
Welcome back to a busy new year in music! We saw the first performance of the year at the Academic Achievers Assembly where the concert band with all the new Year 7 musicians. We also saw high performing Year 12 students Yasmina, Amani and Juanita come back and perform one of their HSC songs that did very well in their exam.
It has become somewhat of a tradition now that musicians take part in the International Women’s Day at Petersham Town Hall. This year will see the choir and other performers take the stage and perform to the wider community and represent the school in the area. It is always an uplifting day out (5/3).
Senior students will be attending Encore on 16/3 at Angel Place Recital Hall. Encore showcases students who achieved top marks in HSC Music and it is a great opportunity for students to see exemplar performances.
The band collective has been invited to take part in Sandy Evan’s Indian Project a jazz workshop in The Riverside Theatre on the 23rd of November. The students will experience the environment of a jazz club and inspire their music studies.
If you want to build a snowman come to Frozen! We are seeing it on Wednesday the 16th of December at the Capitol Theatre. Make sure that you bring back your note and pay to Office C or online to secure your ticket.
