Year 11 Tackles CPR

In VCE General, we the Year Eleven cohort were lucky enough to complete a first aid training course. The course included a presentation run by Damon from Stitches First Aid Education. The session went through all the fundamentals of first aid, as well as some statistics and facts about health and the importance of First Aid training.

We then had the opportunity to perform CPR for 2 minutes on a dummy and from the very first step ‘assess the dangers’ before beginning the compressions. It was a very engaging and worthwhile session, especially for those who do not have any experience in First Aid. At the end of the session, we received accreditation and felt as though we know what to do in the event of an emergency.
