KINDNESS ACTIVITY 

This term, 1/2B read ‘What if Everybody Said That?” before we completed an activity. The activity required students to work together in small groups to squeeze all the toothpaste out of the tube. Students then needed to put the toothpaste back into the tube using only a toothpick. 

Students discovered that it was really easy to squeeze the toothpaste out, but it was challenging to put it back in. Students were able to make the connection, and we discussed how our words, especially when they are unkind, are really hard to take back once we say them. 

It was great to see some students collaborating and working together as a team and persevering when faced with a challenging task.
