Remembrance Day

Today is Remembrance Day, November 11. It is the day in 1918 when the First World War ended. It is also known as Armistice Day. We remember all of those who were, and continue to be, affected by War. We remember at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month each year.
We remember the many who have experienced conflict in search of a better way. Today, we pray for them, we pray for peace in the world and we pray that as a world community we find other ways to resolve our differences.
This is how the Middle year students started our very moving tribute on Friday the 11th of November to honour Remembrance Day. The whole school attended and listened intently as the Middles shared information, prayers, tributes and silence all to honour those who sacrificed for us.
We were especially honoured with our own live performance of the Last Post and Reveille.
Thank you once again to the enormously talented Brunton Family (Daimon, Amelie and Sophie). This personal touch does not go unnoticed nor unappreciated.
At the conclusion of the service the whole school walked through our Memorial Garden and enjoy a time of quiet reflection before heqading back into class and preparing for our inaugural Colour Run.
Lest We Forget.
