JLA's Adventure Around the World

This term, as part of the JLA's Inquiry focus of Inclusivity and Diversity, they have gone on an adventure around the globe. They learnt about what passports are and knew that they needed to bring it to see the sights around the world!

For one of the weeks, they went with their pilot Natalie to Morocco where they learnt about the flag, where it is, traditional costumes, their faiths and beliefs, as well as make and try some of their traditional food - Cous Cous!

For another week, they went with their pilots Nadia and Michelangela to Malta where they also learnt about the flag, where it is, traditional costumes, their faiths and beliefs, as well as make and try some of their traditional food - Pastizzis!

For their final adventure, the went with their pilot Jacqui to Vietnam to learn about the flag, where it is, traditional costumes, their faiths and beliefs, as well as make and try some of their traditional food - Goi Cuon!

Students needed to step out of their comfort zones and a lot of them surprised themselves with realising new foods and ways of doing things isn't always bad and quite often, they might even like it...even if the new food does have vegetables! Students also made connections between themselves and the different cultures to see that a lot of the traditions aren't so different and we can show we are a part of God's family in different ways.

Why not ask one of the JLAs to tell you something they learnt during these adventures or what their favourite part was?
