Slam Dunk

Year 11 Life Ready

On Friday the 19th of August during periods 3 and 4, year 11 students participated in the final session of the Life Ready program. This involved participating in some fun, team building activities such as an inflatable obstacle course, dunk tank, silent disco, FIFA games and a rock-climbing wall.

The students all behaved extremely well. It was a fantastic afternoon, and it was great to see the students and staff having so much fun. The dunk tank was a big hit with the students. It was not as much fun for the people who got dunked into the cold water on a winter’s afternoon. The students seemed to enjoy dunking their teachers way too much and took turns to dunk Mr Barned, Mr Collins, Mr M Howard, myself, Ms Hyde and the Principal, Mr Lane.

A huge thanks to all the staff that helped out on the day and to Ms Sentic and Ms Hyde for organising the whole Life Ready program and this awesome afternoon.

Year 11 Hospitality Kitchen Operations

Over the past few weeks, I have had the privilege of participating in some judging and tasting for student practical works in the year 11 Hospitality – Kitchen Operations class.

The students have been creating some amazing food and have really been enjoying the cooking, preparing and of course the eating. 2 of their recent creations are pictured below. Lemon Meringue Pie and Jerk Chicken Rolls were both very delicious. Thanks to Mr Colussi for having me in your class.
