CAPA Showcase Bonanza!!

Our CAPA team have worked extremely hard to present an array of artwork and performances showcasing works from our dedicated and talented art, dance, drama, music, photography and our brilliant support unit. It was the first showcase that I have had the privilege to attend, and it certainly was a hit.

It was not only the day and night performances that were intriguing it was the teamwork displayed from our wonderful CAPA faculty and students that was clearly impressive. A huge shout out to our backstage crew, master of ceremonies and photographers who also worked tirelessly throughout the showcase.

What was made very clear during the performances was that the only thing that mattered were the students!! It is great to share our student’s talent with our wider community and our parents/carers who from the excited expressions on their faces enjoyed every moment. Congratulations to Mr Faga HT CAPA and his team inclusive of staff and students, you should be very proud of your achievements!

Year 10 Food Technology Food Truck Assessment

It was fantastic to see the variety of foods produced for the Food Truck assessment in both Miss O’Sullivan and Mr Colussi’s classes. All students worked hard to produce quality food that would certainly appeal to a wide demographic. Well done to all students involved and thank you for sharing your beautiful food with me. I certainly did not need dinner.

Kindness Week Coming Soon!

During week 8 of this term our Student Representative Council (SRC) will be celebrating kindness week across the school. Our SRC will be creating fun activities to support both student and staff wellbeing from yellow cupcakes, a lemonade stand, events, and presentations in Connect classes and music at lunch times.

We will also be recognising R U OK? Day on the 8th of September.

R U OK? for students! Encourages our students to ask for help!

There are some simple steps you can take to start a conversation with someone. R U OK? has developed our four conversation steps to give you the skills and confidence to navigate a conversation with someone who is exhibiting signs of distress, anxiety or psychological injury.

Year 10 Making Informed Choices

Well done to all year 10 students for making well informed subject choices for their HSC. All subject selections were made over a 2 week period and we are now busy designing a wide curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
