Wrapper Free Wednesdays
A note from your Environment Captains: Jara and Patricia
As you know, we have started doing Wrapper Free Wednesdays at St Agnes'. The goal is to reduce waste and to eat a healthier lunch that contains less processed food. We talked to the students recently about what a nude food lunchbox is. We encouraged them all to have nude food lunch boxes each Wednesday. Instead of unwrapping muesli bars or single serve foods and putting them in the lunchbox, we have encouraged students to take from a big packet that can have food taken out of it multiple times. Thank you for your support with these goals at home (Patricia and Jara 6G)
We would like to thank all the Semester One Class Reps for the wonderful work they did with the school around Wrapper Free Wednesdays in Term 1 and Term 2. A big congratulations to Grade 1 who won the Term 2 prize and received a delicious Pizza lunch for their efforts.
Wrapper Free Wednesday will continue to be monitored by the environment captains Jara and Patricia this term . Again a tally will be kept by class per week and then totaled at the end of the term. The class with the most wrapper free lunches at the end of term will again be the lucky recipients of a special pizza lunch put on by the school!
