Congratulations – more Croydon Hills PS staff babies are on the way!

Congratulations to: 

• The MacKenzie family! Learning Specialist Jacinta, along with husband Jayden and boys Chase, and Halen, are welcoming family member number five in December!
• Assistant Principal Amy Prior and partner Luke, who are expecting their first child in January.
• Jorja and husband Josh Cram on the announcement that they are also expecting their first child in January.  With their news comes their decision to return to Victoria to be closer to family.  We welcomed Jorja back on staff last month and will be welcoming Josh back in the coming weeks.

Playground Extension

Over the course of the year the Croydon Hills Association of Parents (CHAPS) have been busily fundraising for the school community.  As previously shared, their fundraising efforts for the year are being allocated to subsidise the installation of a synthetic field on the Prep/Junior ova.  However, as a result of the Bunnings and Election BBQs, CHAPS have exceeded expectations! 

In June, Junior School Council members Riley and Eve met with the Facilities Committee of the School Council to share the JSC’s request that the school extends the Prep/Junior oval playground.  They reviewed brochures and quotes and this week, it was confirmed that the school would partner with SmartPlay to install additional monkey bars.

Thank you CHAPS and JSC for contributing to the enhancement of our school!

Assembly Next Week and Liam Sommers’ Farewell

On Friday, July 29th at 2:40pm the school will gather for a Whole School Assembly. At the Assembly we will officially congratulate and farewell Liam Sommers on his promotion to Assistant Principal of Rangeview Primary School.  Liam was appointed ‘Acting’ Assistant Principal for the first half of the year and has since been appointed with tenure. 

Families, staff and students who would like to be involved in the collation of a ‘special farewell message’ for Liam are invited to the school grounds at 3:00pm Tuesday 26th July.  Families please assemble at the Office.
