What a hectic start to term, with a 6000km round trip to Broome.  A wonderful opportunity to spend time together and take in the vast outback scenery. Students were exceptionally well behaved and did a great job of helping out and helping each other. It’s a really long time to spend on a bus in order to cover those vast distances but students did so in good humour and patience. Being involved daily in putting up tents, cooking, cleaning up and the myriad of other jobs that go with keeping the convoy on track, is certainly resilience building. Many students had not been far north of the Wheatbelt and soaked up the opportunity to experience and learn more about the mining, pearling and pastoral industries.

I would like to thank all students who responsibly went to bed each night and allowed everyone to get a decent sleep so we could safely travel those long hours behind the wheel each day.  A special mention also to Ms KV, who put in an extraordinary amount of planning and effort to ensure a safe and smooth experience, leadership and trouble-shooting as it was required. I hope the experience inspires students to chase their dreams.

And now we are back to classes and immersing ourselves in what will be a busy term. As always, we are here to help. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact with any questions, queries or information. Stay safe.
