2017 PREMIER’S READING CHALLENGE

The Premier’s Reading Challenge finishes on 8th September 2017.

It is an expectation that all LNPS students will complete one Premier’s Reading Challenge each year.  Last year 95% of LNPS students completed the PRC, so let’s try for 100% this year!

PRC sheets are available from the PRC website www.prc.sa.edu.au (click on the Reading Records tab) or can be printed from the attached document.  A Premier’s Reading Challenge information booklet is also attached for more details.

PRC Year Levels:

Reception-Year 2 = RED               Year 3-5 = GREEN               Year 6-7 = BLUE

PRC Awards:

Below is a list of all the Premier’s Reading Challenge awards.

First year                 - Certificate

Second year            - Bronze medal

Third year                - Silver medal

Fourth year             - Gold medal

Fifth year                 - Champion medal

Sixth year                - Legend medal

Seventh year          - Hall of Fame medal 

(elect to have your name appear on the PRC Hall of Fame    Honour Roll on the PRC website)

Eighth year → - Hall of Fame Reader for Life certificate reflecting the number   of years you participate.

TIRKANDI PARENT BORROWING:

Parents can have a borrower barcode too, and can borrow up to 10 books for 2 weeks.  Come and visit us in the Library to fill in a borrower sheet and to see our Parent Library too!  The Library is open to parents Monday / Tuesday / Friday (before and after school:  8.30-9.00am & 3.00-3.30pm).
