Education Week

Education Week is an annual celebration of NSW public education and the achievements of our schools, students, and education system.

This year, Education Week was held from 1 to 5 August 2022 celebrating the theme: Creating futures – education changes lives.

To celebrate education, Glen Innes High School, along with our neighbouring public schools, came together on Thursday 4 August at our local Town Hall.

Six (6) of our students were awarded the Education Week Award. This went to students who continually demonstrate our PBL Core Values of:  Respect, Responsibility and Diligence.

Congratulations to the following students:

Year 8 - Jack Floyd

Year 9 - Cadence McShane

Year 10 - Leah Doust

Year 11 - Lara Forrester

Year 12 - Ryan Lamph

Mr Forrester was presented with an award on behalf of all staff at Glen Innes High School for the continued dedication to education 2021/2022. This award represents the hard work and dedication to our students during the COVID pandemic.

We had our Dance team perform two of their dance numbers: Rhada and Shake Your Tail Feather.  We also had a number of our music students perform I Will Wait. What fantastic performances they were - the students should all be very proud of themselves.

We would like to thank Principal Christine Dorward and her wonderful staff at Glen Innes Public school for all their hard work and organisation. It was wonderful to see all of our local schools back together joined with family, friends and community members celebrating Education Week.
