YEAR 3 - 6 News 

Year 3/4A

In this weeks Numeracy sessions we have been learning card games focusing on Number and Place Value. Make 10/20 and Place Value War are Maths games that we will be using as warm-ups throughout the Term. Feel free to play at home with your child!

Year 4/5A

Welcome to 4/5A! What a great start to the school year. For us it was important to establish consistent classroom routines and practices for all students in year 4/5A. These routines are applicable across the entire day and within any given lesson. At the beginning of the year, the 4/5A classroom worked together as a group to establish our classroom expectations and created a list displayed in their learning space. Alongside this we took a close look at the WPS School Values – Responsible, Ethical, Respectful, Determined and Courageous. Students worked in small groups and designed posters, reflecting their value. They gave their definition of the value, and created drawings representing the value.

Year 5/6A

Welcome back to the 2023 school year!

Each year, we begin by building a classroom culture. Some of this work involves the students looking at the classroom and school wide expectations and the Windsor Primary School Values.

The Year 5 /6 A students created a personal Coat of Arms based on the school values – writing and drawing about what each one represents. The students also added a value that they would like to achieve for the school year. Here are some of the finished products.
